EDUCATING PARENTS BEFORE UNIVERSITY COUNSELING

Cornell University

HELP YOU CHOOSE THE RIGHT COUNSELOR

Harvard University

CHECK IMPORTANT ISSUES BEFORE UNIVERSITY SELECTION

Cambridge University

What do We do

1. We educate and support parents through the complete university admission process and all the way through four years of university

2. We are not university counselors

3. We help you understand the issues that would enable you to choose the best counselor for your kid

4. We are happy to assist your efforts with your counselor

What makes us so very different?

  • We only seek parents who are willing to put in the time and effort to work with us diligently
  • This means a lot of reading, reasoning and realising the vital issues
  • We work hard to try and ensure your kid gets accepted to their dream university
  • We make sure parents and kid work in collaboration to achieve the right “fit” university and are happy with their choices

What are some of the key issues?

  • We strongly urge parents go through our website and understand the key issues and read the extensive articles and view the videos
  • Once you start reading and realising there is a whole world of information that will empower you way beyond what any counsellor can provide
  • We will provide you discussion and reasoning on many debatable issues like SAT vs ACT; taking AP’s; how important are Essays, CV, LOR etc
  • We hope to be guiding you during 4 years of university and help your kid secure their ideal job
  • We try hard to reduce your and your kids stress and bring more joy in the whole process
  • We encourage you to interview us so we can all imbibe the right work ethic
  • We are very happy to work with parents whose kids have special challenges. Your challenge becomes ours

What is The Process?

We take parents through 4 different and independent phases covering:

01

Phase I - Two years

Pre-university planning and choosing the right university planning counselor.

• How to start the university planning process by understanding the issues that parents and their kid need to introspect on.
• The questions parents need to ask to help them select the right university planning counselor.

02

Phase II - Two years (Coterminous)

Creating a structured profile of the:

• Subjective Issues
• University Comparatives
• University Comparison

These are customised to you and your kids needs and would help you work more effectively with your counselor.

03

Phase III - Four years

Addressing all the issues that would be important during four years of university to ensure not only a good balance between academics and extra-curricular activities but more importantly enhance the kids’ ability to secure an ideal job in their area of interest.

04

Phase IV - Final year

How to manage a successful job search process.

Mentored Parents

We mentored 30 parents over the last year. There were two students with challenges. The best news is that they both have got in to the perfect “fit” schools and are “happy”. One is going to the top ranked university in Canada and the other is going to one of the top 5 UC’s in the US.

Focus on Kids

The greatest joy comes working with parents whose kids have special needs. We keep discovering strong academic universities and colleges that are not only a good “fit” but missing from the list of college counsellors. We simply work differently and only focus on the needs of the kids.
